T A S T I N G N O T E S
A very unique ice wine, and probably the only one found in the Okanagan made with the white varietal Semillon. This rich, luscious, golden colour dessert wine explodes with aromas of honeysuckle, pineapple, papaya and apricot. Well rounded finish that exhibits nuances of honey and orange peel on the palate.
Try with light fruit pastries, crème caramel or blue cheese.

The grapes come from our Similkameen Vineyard in Cawston and from our Sunrise Vineyard in Okanagan Falls. An unseasonable influx of arctic air made possible the early harvest of ice wine grapes. A great harvest followed even though the grapes had not hung on the vines as long as in previous years but still retained fresh flavours. Picking of our "regular" harvest had finished a mere two weeks earlier. We hand harvested on November 5th, 2003.

"Our earliest ice wine harvest ever. We picked November 5th at -10°C temperatures. After harvest the grapes were gently pressed while frozen. The must then went through a very long and slow fermentation, followed by 4 months months of barrel ageing."
