A German varietal with fresh aromas and flavours of Mandarin oranges, ripe apples, clover honey and a hint of minerality. A well balanced dry Riesling.

Delicious with pan fried trout or seafood risotto.

The grapes come primarily from 28-year old vines in our Similkameen Vineyard in Cawston and a small portion comes from our Sunrise Vineyard in Okanagan Falls. 2009 started off with a cold snap in January which caused some vine damage and resulted in crop numbers to be down from the previous year. Following this we had a slow start to the season, however, a hot, dry summer that carried right through into September created optimal growing conditions which brought with it great fruit ripeness including sugar and acid levels where we wanted them. The early October frost did damage only to the vine leaves, not the grapes. Another great harvest year!

"A nice hot Okanagan summer right into September helped us in achieving good ripeness which produced great fruit flavours with a hint of minerality. A well balanced and very refreshing dry Riesling"
