This late harvest wine portrays notes of baked apple, ripe peach, melon and honey aromas. Flavours of apple, pear and honey tantalize the palate. A rich finish with undertones of tropical fruit.
Great with fruit desserts or on its own as an after dinner drink.

The grapes come from our Similkameen Vineyard in Cawston and from our Sunrise Vineyard in Okanagan Falls. 2004 started out with an early and seasonably warm spring and summer. The end of August brought a three week period of cool, rainy weather which slowed the growing season. In mid-September we were back on track with nice warm weather and an extended growing period. The grapes were hand-harvested on November 14th.

The harvested grapes went through a whole-cluster press in order to extract all the fruit flavours and aromas from the berries. The pressed juice then went into stainless steel tanks where they were cold-fermented. The natural acidity of the grapes is nicely balanced with the residual sweetness of the wine.

"A seasonably warm spring and summer allowed the grapes to develop complexity and intense fruit flavours and aromas. The Chardonnay Late Harvest displays good tropical notes."
