Very tropical aromas and flavours of lychee nut, rose petals and a hint of spice followed by a refreshing off-dry finish.

G R O W I N G   C O N D I T I O N S

The grapes come from our Similkameen Vineyard in Cawston and Sunrise Vineyard in Okanagan Falls. A portion of the Gewürztraminer comes from 27 year old vines. The 2008 season started almost 3 weeks later than normal. Summer also arrived later but brought with it warmer temperatures and long sunlight hours. This harvest produced quality wines. Gewürztraminer is an early-ripening varietal and was hand-harvested on September 24th.

W I N E M A K I N G   N O T E S

After harvesting the grapes went through limited skin contact for about 6 hours, which allowed for additional complexity without extracting too much astringency. The pressed juice then went through a cool ferment in 100% stainless steel tanks.
