Our premium, small lot, limited release red with only 90 cases produced in total, is a blend of 75% Cabernet Sauvignon and 25% Syrah. This rich, full-bodied red was aged for 24 months in one year old French oak barrels. Aromas of blackberry, plum and cassis are complemented by flavours of dark chocolate, cocoa and dark berries on the palate.
A great match for game, lamb and beef.
G R O W I N G C O N D I T I O N S
The grapes come from our Similkameen Vineyard in Cawston and Sunrise Vineyard in Okanagan Falls. 2004 started out with an early and seasonably warm spring and summer. The end of August brought a three week period of cool, rainy weather which slowed the growing season. In mid-September we were back on track with nice warm weather and an extended growing period. The grapes were hand-harvested during the period of October 21st to October 25th.

A very small lot, premium red consisting of a blend of 75% Cabernet Sauvignon and 25% Syrah. The fruit was cold soaked for 7 days to obtain good colour, fruit and tannin extraction from the skins. The juice then went through small-batch fermentation in stainless steel tanks before being gently pressed. The wine was aged for 24 months in one year old French oak barrels.
